Helping to build the future of Uber Eats
Whether you’re delivering a midweek ramen or solving a late night grocery emergency, you’re helping connect the community with what they need. And you know the day-to-day of delivering with Uber Eats better than anyone.
Which is why in 2021, together with RPS Group, we launched the Uber Advisory Forums in Australia, bringing together passionate delivery people to help shape the future of Uber Eats.
In 2023, there were two forums, in which the Advisors had an opportunity to give feedback, share their ideas for solutions and advocate for the interests of their fellow delivery people. Advisors help shape the topics discussed, to make sure we’re focusing on the things that matter most to you.
Meet your Advisors for 2023-2024
Advisers have been selected by RPS Group from over 2,800+ submissions to represent the diverse voices of the Delivery People earning on the Uber Eats platform.
Lillian, Sydney
Representing NSW
“I love love love Uber Eats delivery service because it is a side hustle for me on top of my full time role and I love it because I’m good at it, I love building community in terms of merchants and seeing where everybody is ordering food from.”
Muchamad, Sydney
Representing NSW
“My favourite part when I’m delivering is when I see the nice smile from the customer when they receive my orders. Why I deliver is because I’m looking for extra money for my life. I’m very excited because I can share my ideas and my solutions to Uber Eats to grow and grow.”
Rajesh, Newcastle
Representing NSW
“The main reason why I want to be a part of this submission is just to know what is happening at the administration level and what feedback I can give from my side. I’d really like to know what is happening and what the future plans are.”
Zain, Canberra
Representing ACT
“The reason I am interested in joining this forum is I want to understand the technical aspect of the application first and foremost, because I still believe there are a few improvements that can be made through the mobile portion of the application.
Also, it would be a great honour to represent my fellow Uber Eats community members and this is why I thought it would be a good idea to put forward my application.”
Demelsa, Melbourne
Representing VIC
"The thing I like about Uber Eats is; if it pleases the customers and helps the customers, I'm in it 100%. As it’s convenient for them."
Jay, Geelong
Representing VIC
"It’s a great experience to do deliveries in Geelong."
Ala, Melbourne
Representing VIC & TAS
"My favourite part is discovering the best restaurants and eateries around my city. I started delivering initially because I wanted to make some income when I was not working but even after I started a full time job, I find myself still sometimes missing that part and I still do participate every now and then in delivery work because I enjoy it."
Jhonnatan, Brisbane
Representing QLD
"I want to be part of this project because with all the experience that I have, I can share all the issues and concerns that we have doing this job. The main goal for that is trying to improve the app for the experience for us and for the customers at the end."
Margaret, Gold Coast
Representing QLD
"I believe that I would have a lot to offer to the Advisory Committee because I’ve done so many deliveries and I speak to so many Uber Eats Delivery People. There are things I believe we can do to make it better, both from Uber Eat’s side and little things like asking the customer to turn a light on etc. I think I could make a difference and I would love to be able to try to do that."
Hernando, Hobart
Representing TAS
"I started delivering here in Australia because due to my visa rights, this was the best option of work I have at the moment. I am very excited to be one of the Advisers for the Uber Eats application because it gives me the opportunity to take leadership for my delivery community here in Tasmania and be able to represent them as the leader that I think I am."
John, Perth
Representing WA
"I do Uber Eats because I actually can’t work in the normal workforce anymore due to health reasons and I enjoy Uber Eats. I enjoy the variety of people I meet, I enjoy delivering food to people so they can have their food – I actually enjoy it overall."
Matheus, Gold Coast
Representing QLD
“I like this job because it’s the most free job I could find in Australia and I like to participate to share my experience and I think I could help make the app even better than it is."
James, Adelaide
Representing SA
"My reasons for joining the Advisory panel are purely to be active in helping others. It’s something that I’ve done for quite a while now – I’ve done a lot of volunteering work and I’ve worked on various committees. I think if I was successful, I’d find as a Delivery Person, one of the things I'd really try to work on is bringing us Delivery People and the merchants together a bit. We need to understand each others’ roles in this and I think sometimes we don’t and it’s going to help out a lot."
Jervis, Darwin
Representing NT
"One of my favourite parts of Uber Eats is I’m not locked into the amount of hours I have to do the job which makes me available for my wife and I’ll be available for my future son and daughter. I’m excited to be a part of the forum because I'm going to be able to share the challenges of doing Uber Eats in Darwin which is a small city with not much population and there’s not much traffic but the heat is a bit difficult to handle sometimes – especially during the wet season."
