In a business world still recovering from the pandemic and evolving to meet changing employee needs, the importance of employee wellness is perhaps more important than ever before. Holistic benefits particularly are increasing in importance as employees look to their employers to support everything from caregiving assistance to meal and commuting programs. And with 52% of those currently employed intending to leave jobs this year and 46% feeling less connected to their employers, it’s critical that businesses take a closer look at their benefits packages and perks to ensure they are not only meeting employee needs, but also boosting happiness and morale, while increasing workforce retention.
Before the pandemic, perks like event tickets or travel gift cards may have been popular, but with the rise in remote and hybrid working environments, businesses are looking for flexible rewards for their employees that can be utilized by anyone, anywhere. Grocery delivery for employees and their families, healthy at-home and in-office meal programs, and on-demand transportation are all easy for employers to offer and intuitive for employees themselves to redeem and use.
That’s why Uber for Business is proud to work with Achievers, a global leader in employee voice and recognition solutions. With Uber for Business’ API integration, Achievers is the first fully integrated employee experience platform to collaborate with Uber for Business to offer clients vouchers for rides and meal deliveries directly within their global Reward Marketplace. With the integrated redemption process, vouchers redeemed in the Achievers Reward Marketplace navigate directly to the Uber app.
“Millions of people worldwide use Uber, and so we wanted to delight employees by offering a reward option that they already know and trust,” says Kristian Gaetano, Chief Operating Officer at Achievers. “By joining forces with Uber for Business, we continue to invest in employee recognition and reward strategies that not only drive adoption and positive business results but deliver on what employees truly want, especially in today’s climate.”
