We’ve been working for several years to provide affordable, reliable transportation to everyone in Florida, and due to recently passed statewide legislation, Uber will soon be available everywhere in Florida.
We’re excited to announce that as of July 1, Florida riders will be able to open their Uber app and request a ride from anywhere in the state, and drivers will be able to log on and accept trip requests anywhere.
These last pieces of the Florida puzzle include Key West and Venice, as well as several counties. Click on Panama City, Pensacola, and Tallahassee below to see the counties where we’re launching.
NOTE: In these new service areas, wait times may be longer than usual as riders and drivers learn about Uber.

How it works:
- Open the Uber app.
- Tap the menu button in the upper-left corner, then tap Free Rides.
- Tap Send Invites and add as many friends as you’d like to share with, then tap Invite Friends. Send the autopopulated SMS message.
- Once your friend taps on the URL in the SMS, the promo will be applied to their account.
- After your friend takes his or her first trip, $10 will be added to your account for your next ride.
