Uber Atlanta Announces New Greenlight Hub Opening & Peachtree Immediate Care Partnership

February 14, 2017 / Georgia

February 14, 2017 – Today, Uber Atlanta announced the opening of a new Greenlight Hub and a partnership with Peachtree Immediate Care to support and strengthen the tens of thousands of driver-partners earning with Uber in Atlanta.

Located at 3111 Clairmont Road, the Uber Greenlight Hub will help new driver-partners get on the road and serve as a resource where partners can ask questions or seek technical support.  At the Valentine’s Day ribbon-cutting ceremony, Uber Atlanta General Manager Luke Marklin officially opened the center with the help of Kwabena Wiafe, a driver-partner who has completed more trips than any driver-partner in Atlanta.  As a special surprise to celebrate his more than 20,000 trips and the Greenlight Hub’s 2017 opening, Marklin then presented a shocked Wiafe with a $2,017 check.

As a surprise to the hundreds of top driver-partners gathered at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Uber announced a new partnership with Peachtree Immediate Care, Atlanta’s largest urgent care network, to connect drivers and their families with convenient, non-emergent healthcare services.  Starting this week, drivers and their loved ones can take advantage of discounted self-pay visits at their 17 Urgent Care Clinics all over the greater Atlanta area.  Driver-partners can simply walk into a clinic or check-in online after March 1st for easy access and they will automatically receive the discount at checkout.

“We’re always looking for ways to help people who drive with Uber get the most out of their time on the road — because we know that every moment matters,” said Marklin.  “By partnering with Peachtree Immediate Care, drivers will be able to save money while getting the health services they need on a schedule that works for them.  The Greenlight Hub will serve as quick and convenient resource for partners across the metro area – where they can sign up to drive or ask questions about the app.

“The team at Peachtree Immediate Care is excited to help Uber’s driver-partners stay healthy by offering our convenient, caring services at a discounted rate seven days a week. As busy as these drivers are, we know that they need to Get in. Get out. Get better!™ in order to maximize their time on the road,” said Bill Miller, CEO of Peachtree Immediate Care.”

The new Greenlight Hub will be open Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm.  It replaces a smaller support center in West Midtown.  Partners can receive discounted visits at any Peachtree Immediate Care Urgent Care Center, during any hour the facility is open.
