About the Team

Merchants (Restaurants) form the backbone of our business, and supporting restaurants is one of the key reasons we exist. From multinationals to mom-and-pop shops, they produce the delicious food that we deliver to our consumers every day, and Taiwan’s restaurant ecosystem and vibrant food culture are why Uber Eats in Taiwan has grown to be one of our top 4 most successful markets globally.

The Merchant team reports directly to the General Manager of Uber Eats Taiwan and covers strategy, sales, account management, and operations.

About the Role

As a member of the Merchant Experience Comms & Engagement team, the B2B Comms Specialist holds an important position in shaping and executing our comprehensive merchant communication strategies.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategic communication plans that are aligned with company objectives and resonate with our merchant partners, particularly on Sustainability, Martech, and other product messaging. You will oversee the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of communication channels while creating compelling content to support the entire Merchant Team.

We encourage you to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in B2B communications. Your role will involve integrating innovative ideas into our strategy planning to ensure we maintain a competitive edge.

Your impact in this role

  • Merchant Communication Strategy Development and Execution
  • Define overarching missions and priorities to develop strategic communication plans that align with the objectives and resonate with the merchant partners, focusing on Sustainability, Martech, and other product messaging that resonate with merchant partners
  • Communication Channel Efficiency and Content Quality
  • Monitor communication channel efficiency and cost, providing monthly performance reports for review and optimization
  • Work with the team to ensure communication content (including but not limited to copy, graphics, formats, etc) is engaging, effective, and aligned with the brand guideline
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, AMs, Public Relations, Legal, etc.) to ensure information accuracy and successful project outcomes
  • Innovation and Creative Ideas
  • Stay proactive in monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities, proposing fresh ideas and initiatives aligned with the company’s mission to enhance overall merchant partner experiences

The Experience You’ll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marketing strategy, planning, and execution, ideally within e-commerce B2B companies, in-house brand marketing, or marketing agencies
  • Exceptional multi-project management skills with strong attention to detail and high-quality deliverables are required
  • Proficient in producing engaging and effective merchant communication creatives, with the ability to collaborate with design support and ensure alignment with brand guidelines
  • A highly motivated individual capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, driving initiatives forward with enthusiasm and dedication
  • Advanced proficiency in both English and Mandarin

Ideal Characteristics:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marketing strategy, planning, and execution, ideally within e-commerce B2B companies, in-house brand marketing, or marketing agencies
  • [Planning & Execution] Demonstrated success in planning and executing brand marketing strategies, with proven results in driving impactful communications campaigns
  • [Stakeholder Management & Communication] Experience in effectively collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders within a large organization, ensuring alignment and achieving collective goals
  • [Creativity] Ability to capture the market trends or opportunities, and adeptly integrate them into strategic planning and execution to enhance the company’s objectives

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber’s cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office.
