About the Role

Uber Eats is looking for a Global Sales Compensation Manager to help drive strategy and structure around how we pay and incentivize our sales force.

This person will lead the implementation of processes, systems, & program efficacy associated with Uber Eats' sales compensation program. The role will include the oversight of the plan design process, system implementation and administration, seller compensation support management, analytics and training. You will also have involvement in measuring the effectiveness of the program.

Reporting to the Global Head of Sales Compensation, you will work directly with senior stakeholders from sales, sales operations, finance, HR and others to define the strategic compensation initiatives that support the global go to market strategies for Uber Eats.

What You'll Do

Comp Admin Manager

  • Lead and develop a US-based team of compensation analysts responsible for the administration of Incentive Plans, inquiry management, system development, and effectiveness reporting
  • Oversee the Administration of monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual sales incentive plans with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely performance calculations, guarantees, spiff bonus and sales compensation payouts
  • Oversee the recurring audit of commission statements prior to release of payments, ensuring data integrity and accuracy of plan calculation
  • Execute global projects, across multiple teams dealing with the rollout of new Sales Incentive Plans, enhancing existing processes, identifying opportunities for process standardization, and ensure we keep track of the various initiatives across the team
  • Gather constructive internal feedback, conduct analyses, and provide recommendations to create best in class compensation plans that are aligned with the strategy of the business and drive results
  • Define the Roles and Responsibilities of the various stakeholders involved in various the Sales Incentive Plan processes

Systems Manager

  • Launch new systems and enhancements with business initiatives in mind that will have a direct impact on sales compensation while ensuring data extraction and transfer is seamless within the compensation tool (Xactly)
  • Partner with stakeholders and direct reports to develop detailed project plans and ensure projects are successfully completed, on-time, and on-budget, from start to finish
  • Administer the Jira Service Desk, ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, manage Kanban Boards, build reports, and drive process improvements and automation
  • Define, create, improve, and automate reporting KPIs per market and role to better understand usage of the Xactly tool, number of issues raises, discrepancies, etc

Other

  • Proactively develop and track metrics to identify trends, generate insights and contribute to our partners with information to better manage Sales Incentive Plans and their outcomes
  • Develop training materials and Sales enablement tools related to Xactly in a addition to coach sales new sales compensation analysts / managers

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally in Sales Operations, Consulting, Strategic Planning, Finance, Accounting or related fields
  • Bachelors Degree Obtained
  • 2+ years managerial experience leading a team
  • Experience in Sales Compensation processes (e.g., payout calculations, Sales Incentive Plan design, payout administration / reconciliation, etc.) and or sales compensation tools (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Anaplan, Variencent, Performio, etc.)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially related to building compelling presentations and presenting recommendations & decisions to executive leadership
  • Knowledge of incentive plan structures (quotas, accelerators, pay mix, and on-target earnings)
  • Project management skills and ability to partner across functional areas (e.g., Sales, Finance, Operations, and HR)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-starter capable of independently driving projects to completion
  • Strong Google/Excel skills: use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation, VBA
  • Exceptional problem solving skills: demonstrated ability to structure complex problems and develop solutions
  • Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills, with a focus on attention to detail and delivering of high-quality results
  • High energy and contagious enthusiasm. Willing to tackle the tough projects and challenges to grow the business. Governs themselves with unquestionable ethics
  • You are passionate about doing what’s right for the business

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$137,000 per year - USD$152,000 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$152,000 per year - USD$168,500 per year.
