Global Operations Manager – Hailables (Rides) | Intern Alumni
Amsterdam, The Netherlands

“I’m a Master in Management graduate from Italy. I joined Uber in March 2022 as an Operations Intern on our Global Hailables team. Fast forward to today, I am now an Operations Manager on the same team.” 

“I make sure that anyone who needs a ride or wants to earn with Uber can easily do that, through a Taxi, TukTuk or Moto.”

“The Hailables team is responsible for setting an all-encompassing strategy for its global portfolio, overlooking different operations worldwide related to specific categories of products: Uber Taxi, Moto and TukTuks. Growing Hailables means ensuring local markets have the resources and tools needed to deliver on their growth plans and build a financially sustainable business.

I got to work with numerous stakeholders around the world, from central and local operations teams and across different cross-functional ones, making sure we design scalable initiatives, across operations, marketing, product and policy. One of the most exciting aspects of the work is analyzing marketplaces, recognizing the different market nuances and from there thinking and discussing different solutions specifically tailored to Taxi, Auto and Moto, to make the e-hailing experience as optimal as possible, in every part of the world!”

“At Uber, you own your work from day one. I joined as an Operations Intern, and got the chance to grow in my team, and was recently promoted to Operations Manager. Being exposed to so many different teams gave me the opportunity to learn about every different aspect of our business, from both a rider and driver perspective. “I’m part of the French Driver Operations team in Paris focusing on driver experience and engagement. I graduated a few months ago with a Master in Management.” 

“I help drivers have a good time driving people around and make sure they can do it in the easiest way possible.”

“During my internship, I had the chance to work on various topics including our Uber Pro Program, working on new drivers’ experience in the app but most importantly, I was able to help my team launch Uber Taxi in France. Later on, I was able to organize roundtables with newly onboarded drivers who were using the service, collected their feedback and had the ownership to utilize those to make their experience better.This is the most gratifying part of my job—hearing their feedback, act upon them, and seeing the impact of all the features and partnerships we roll out to make sure drivers have the best possible experience with Uber.”

Launch Operations Manager | Intern Manager

“I started my journey at Uber on our Rides team in 2018 and joined Uber Eats in 2021 to launch the product in Germany. Uber Eats felt like day one all over again. A humbling experience and fruitful learning curve which helped me span my career across two major industries. When I am not at work, you’ll find me very likely eating pasta, doing HIITs or having long reading sessions.”

“For me personally it’s the déjà vu! Launching Rides and Uber Eats in the most prominent German cities by bringing to life the product and testing the service is a unique experience. There are tons of fun stories, memories and pictures which are privileged to the Launch and Expansion rockstars.”
