Burger Love
Written byThe highly revered Cafe 51 has a new incarnation in the form of Burger Love, while the name has changed, owners and Melbourne burger royalty Steve Agi and Chris Binos remain.
Steve and Chris have over 40 years of hospitality experience and with Cafe 51 they managed to establish a reputation worldwide for creating unthinkable and outright epic burgers.
Such has been the popularity, recently Cafe 51 outgrew its Buckhurst Street location and today it will re-open just around the corner on George Street – under the Burger Love brand.
“We are always creating and bringing new ideas and concepts to life – giving the customer what they desire, no matter how crazy or difficult it may seem.” Steve said.
The most jaw dropping item on the menu is aptly named “The Paralyzer”. Only the bravest dare tackle this goliath that is comprised of three southern-style chicken pieces, two beef patties, bacon and a casual five slices of American cheddar.
“The basic idea and concept of The Paralyzer was created by a customer in fact and was tweaked by our burgerology team to create the legendary burger that has achieved cult status globally.” Steve said.
With a motto of “HAPPY PEOPLE = HAPPY FOOD = HAPPY PEOPLE”, Burger Love’s obsession with customer service is clear.
Burger Love has also proved to be a hit on UberEATS with the success of the St Kilda location ultimately shaping the construction of the new site in South Melbourne.
“We have designed it with UberEATS in mind, as it is such a big part of our business…so we have ensured there is plenty of parking and easy access for drivers. There’s even the option to drive through and collect orders without having to even get out of the car.” Steve said.
The decision to create a drive through is again a show of their customer service obsession, minimising delays to make sure eaters get their food as quickly as possible.
