Uber Eats brings best tech to the west in a boost for WA restaurants
Written byFrom the white sands of Broome’s Cable Beach to the historic goldfields of Kalgoorlie, Uber Eats is now live in four new regional WA locations – serving up greater convenience, expanded choice, and fresh earning opportunities to thousands of Australians.
Some of WA’s most-loved restaurants across the state can tap into the growing demand for online ordering and reach more customers than ever before. By switching on the app in Broome, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, and Karratha, we’re helping local restaurants dish up more meals by providing the technology they need to enhance their businesses.
The demand for online delivery is soaring with restaurant partner sign-ups to our platform experiencing double-digit growth over the past year. And while millions of people and thousands of retailers already rely on Uber Eats for meals, groceries, pet supplies, and more – access to convenience shouldn’t be reserved for the big cities.
Now, local businesses in Broome, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, and Karratha can access our network, with this new delivery option creating more valuable, flexible earning opportunities for local workers. Plus, we’re making it easier than ever for locals and visitors to support their favourite restaurants and cafes – whether they’re craving a quick snack or a full meal.
In Broome, we’re serving up a new way for restaurants to scale up during peak seasons, helping them reach more hungry travellers without overextending operations. Locals can now enjoy some of their favourites like Mr Saigon, Ginread Thai, Subway and The Food Lab – all available at the tap of a button.
Those living in or travelling to Esperance, will be happy to see some familiar names now available on the delivery menu, including Seaside Café & Restaurant, Sir Juice, and Red Rooster.
Kalgoorlie is striking gold with Uber Eats making mealtimes more convenient than ever. McDonald’s, Café 312 Kalgoorlie, De Bernales, and Just a Little Café are now ready to deliver.
And in Karratha, we’re diversifying meal choices for FIFO workers and residents, with the Pilbara Bakehouse, McDonald’s, Hungry Jack’s, Burgermuma, and Hula Bar available to deliver.
General Manager Uber Eats Australia, Ed Kitchen said, “Delicious meals and fresh groceries should be accessible everywhere – whether you’re in the heart of the city or enjoying the open skies of the countryside. We’re excited to kick off our regional expansions in the West and are looking forward to helping more regional communities enjoy the flavours of their favourite restaurants at home as the year unfolds.”
This expansion into regional WA is the start of a broader commitment to delivering more choice, convenience, and opportunities across the country. These towns mark the first stage of our 2025 regional growth plan, with aspirations to more than double our footprint outside metropolitan areas by the end of the year.
