We all know that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on people and businesses around the world, and Uber is no exception. The world has been on pause for the last few months causing the way we move around our cities to change overnight. As a result, we have had to make the incredibly hard decision to say goodbye to some of our most talented employees to ensure that our business comes out the other side of this crisis stronger.

Following the example of other businesses affected by COVID-19, we have created a public talent directory to profile our impacted employees and help companies who are hiring to easily connect with the talented and passionate people who have helped move the world. The directory shares information about their experience, location and can include links to their social channels and portfolios (where applicable).

To put it simply, Uber employees are dynamic and driven. They pull together and react at lightning speed in an ever-changing environment to take on challenges that no one has encountered before. They build with a resilience that has allowed us to innovate and scale the business. Making a difference in the cities we live in is a fundamental part of our mission and it’s something that our team members constantly work towards. It’s this mentality that truly sets Uber employees apart and that has grown and scaled our business over the last ten years. Without their contribution, Uber would not be where it is today.

As a talent acquisition leader, I would like to call on companies who are looking to hire passionate and dynamic people to move their businesses farther – this talent directory is here to help. Reach out and ask those who are profiled about the things they helped build at Uber. I’m convinced they can be of great value to your team.
