Big Fernand, a French gourmet burger chain, called on Uber for Business to help restaurant employees with their daily commute.
Big Fernand brings quality French-style burgers to people in France, with 53 restaurants spread across the country.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all restaurants closed their doors to the public. Big Fernand was already part of the Uber Eats network, so they reached out to see if Uber had a solution to bring restaurant staff back to work to make deliveries possible.
They joined Uber for Business and set up a commute program. The staff had one ride covered per day during the confinement period.
Big Fernand resumed its delivery activities quickly. Employees were able to count on a simple and safe way to reach the restaurants, on an app that many were already using. Management were won over by the easy set up and the possibility to centralise billing.
Results
- A quick turnaround to reopen restaurants and continue business
- A reliable way for staff to do their daily commute
- A seamless, easy-to-use solution that allows centralised expensing
“In these uncertain times, Uber for Business has played an important role in our business. The daily commute of our staff is much easier. On the administrative side, we appreciate the simplicity of the platform and the ability to centralise expenses.”
Enguerran Lavaud, Project Manager, Big Fernand
