Both riders and drivers need to be able to travel safe in the knowledge that Uber is right behind them in the unlikely event that anything goes wrong. It’s why Uber customer support in Egypt is such a critical part of our offering to you.
For riders
In-app support
Your first port of call when it comes to Uber Support is in the app itself. On your smartphone screen you will see three horizontal lines in the top left corner. This will lead you to the main menu and the Help section that details both your last trip and a number of options that allow you to report accidents, review fares or report a driver if you feel their conduct was unprofessional. Issues in the latter category will always be treated as a high priority issue.
Online support
You can access a similar menu of options for contacting Uber Support by going to help.uber.com/riders on a computer and logging onto your account. If you have a lot of information you would like to add in your message for support, this may be a better option for you as typing will be easier for some people on a computer keyboard rather than on a smartphone.
Online support via a series of articles about how Uber works can also be accessed online – you don’t have to be an Uber account holder or logged in to view these either. Simply navigate to the area you’re interested in and read the appropriate sections. You can also find city specific and general information about Uber Egypt at our blog https://www.uber.com/en-EG/blog/
On social media
You can follow Uber Egypt easily to get updates on issues such as service updates, promotions, safety issues and all our latest news by following us on Twitter at https://twitter.com/Uber_Egypt. Riders are able to Tweet us comments or questions here too.
For drivers
In-app support
As with riders, the Uber app should be your first resort when it comes to Uber Support. As well as helping you find rides and giving you directions, you can update your profile, add new vehicles and get clarity on payments. You can also get help if you have a problem on a trip. Simply select Help from the app menu and choose an option under Report an Issue or go to Last Trip to report an issue with your last ride.
Online support
Drivers can also visit help.uber.com which is now the home of Uber Support on the web. It offers general support and the ability to Report an Issue, just like in the app. There’s also a dedicated page for drivers with Uber Egypt which offers local tips and advice at https://www.uber.com/eg/en/drive/ or you can visit the Uber blog for more advice and articles. It can be found at https://www.uber.com/en-EG/blog/
Uber Greenlight Hubs
Uber Greenlight Hubs are drop-in centres for drivers to receive personal advice. There are two in Egypt, one in Cairo and one in Alexandria. Personal support in Cairo is available from 9am to 4.30pm from Saturday to Thursday at The Greek Campus in The American University in Cairo, Mohamed Mahmoud Street, Tahrir Square. In Alexandria, the Hub is open from 10.30am to 4.45pm from Sunday to Thursday. You can find it at 65 El-Horeya Rd(Foad Street), Kom Ad Dakah Sharq, Qesm Al Attarin. There’s an In-App appointment scheduler that allows you to select a time to see someone.
