The transportation landscape in India is vast, and within Uber for Business we’re strategically positioning ourselves to tap into this promising market. Sakshi Aggarwal, Enterprise Account Executive knows that the current affordability and accessibility of mobility solutions in India presents a unique opportunity for Uber Shuttle to make a significant impact. She also knows a thing or two about making an impact through her day to day work changing the way companies across India think about the daily commute of their employees.
Sakshi shares: “What sets the sales experience at Uber apart is that it is not just about achieving numbers. It’s about actively contributing to shaping the future of transportation and fostering meaningful partnerships. It’s not just about selling a service–it’s about redefining what’s possible and truly enabling our mission to reimagine the way the world moves for the better. Uber isn’t just a place to work–it’s an ideal environment for those who seek to make a tangible difference while advancing their sales expertise.”
Tell us about yourself and your role.
“My current role as an Enterprise Account Executive within Uber for Business is to partner with our corporate customers to develop customized commuting programs that provide safe and reliable transport to work for their employees. After consulting with companies to understand their specific needs and challenges, I work closely with teams across Uber to design and implement a solution that meets their needs while delivering a super easy and comfy option for their people to get to the office. It’s all about making work travel better for everyone”
What’s the latest cool thing you’ve worked on?
“Our newest addition to the platform here in India is the option for high capacity vehicles (HCVs) called Uber Shuttle. These can be anything from a 19 seater shuttle to a 50 seater bus. It’s like a bus service, but unlike public transport you can book your seat in advance through the Uber app. The app shows you where to catch the shuttle, and you can track it before it arrives. So, instead of dealing with traffic or crowded public transport, employees can just hop on the shuttle, relax, and get to work without any stress.”
What are the key focus areas for Uber for Business?
“We’re focused on enhancing safety and automation, while providing insightful data and analytics for our clients. By choosing Uber as their sole service provider, companies can not only streamline their transport operations but also gain a comprehensive understanding of their transportation needs through our consolidated data-driven approach. This enables better decision-making and improved efficiency and even elevates the employee experience.”
How does Uber for Business fit in with the rest of Uber?
“We work really closely with many teams across Uber, from designing solutions with the product team, to ensuring we can meet customer expectations with the supply team and executing deals with operations. Collaboration with these teams is not just a part of the job–it’s fundamental to our success in Uber for Business. We also partner with our colleagues globally to share best practices and leverage insights from different markets.”
What’s it like to work in Uber for Business?
“What makes the experience truly enriching for me is the culture—a culture that thrives on collaboration and empowerment. I’ve had the opportunity to take the reins on projects, taking ownership not just of tasks but of my professional growth. It’s immensely satisfying to see my contributions make a tangible impact on the solutions we provide and ultimately transform the traditionally unmanaged sphere of employee transportation.
But here’s the real magic of our culture: it isn’t just about professional growth. Let me share a personal story. A while back, my family faced a challenging time, dealing with a significant loss. The flexibility I was provided allowed me to be present with my family when they needed me most, and the emotional support from my colleagues made a world of difference. This blend of professional and personal support really helps me to be my best self both inside and outside of work.”
What have you learned in your time at Uber?
“Currently, I’m leading initiatives to integrate our HCV offerings more deeply into corporate transportation solutions, expanding our HCV services into previously untapped markets. This has shifted my perspective on what’s achievable, pushing me to explore innovative strategies and redefine my own limits. It has taught me that the only limits to our impact and growth are the ones we place on ourselves.”
