Electric scooter rental

There’s a new way to get around your city. Fun, affordable, and easy to use, Lime electric scooters are available through the Uber app.*

Easy to book

Update the Uber app to the latest version. Tap 2-Wheels, then follow the directions to book the nearest scooter.

The feeling of electric

Experience the fun of an electric scooter—when you use the accelerator, you’ll feel the boost.

Ride smart. Ride safe.

We recommend that you wear a helmet, follow the local traffic laws, yield to pedestrians, and be careful with your speed. Avoid riding scooters down steep hills.

How to ride

Reserve or walk up

Tap the scooter icon in the Uber app and reserve a nearby electric scooter, or simply walk up to the vehicle to get started.

Start riding

Scan the QR code on the handlebars to unlock and go. (Or manually enter the 6-digit vehicle identification number.) We encourage you to wear a helmet.

While you ride

To brake anytime, squeeze the lever down on the left handlebar. To go, press the lever down gently on the right handlebar. Start slow—the scooter has zip.

Park responsibly

Make sure you park in the correct area shown on the map in your app—and outside any city no-parking areas. Don’t block walkways, ramps, or any areas that need to be used by people with accessibility needs. Consult your city government’s website for rules on where scooters may be operated.
