Important Update: Changes to App Ride Pickup Location at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport

The changes to the pickup location and waiting area at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport are now in effect as of December 30, 2024.
What’s changing?
New pickup location:The new pickup location for app rides will be in the P2 parking hall, which features a dedicated area for app-based transportation.
Please ensure you pick up passengers only within the designated app rides area. Picking up passengers outside of this area may result in restrictions on completing airport pickups.
The pickup area is clearly marked as followed:
New waiting areaAll app rides will need to transition to a new waiting area, located in the parking spaces on Ilmailutie. You must move to this new waiting area to become eligible for pickup trip requests from the airport.
Passenger drop-off time limit:In the near future, the airport will introduce a system to restrict the maximum allowed time in the drop-off area to 8 minutes. Exceeding this time will incur additional charges.
What does this mean for you?
Pickup location: Once you receive and accept a new trip request to pick up a passenger from the airport, head to the new pickup spot labeled as “App Rides”. Please see the driving route in the image below.
Waiting area: After dropping off a passenger, proceed to the waiting area circled in red in the image below.
This will add you to the queue, making you eligible for a new trip request.
Drop-offs:When dropping off a passenger, ensure that you stay in the drop-off area for less than 8 minutes to avoid extra fees.
Routine drop-offs are not expected to be affected, as they typically stay within this limit.
