If you find an item in your car after a trip, your next steps may be different depending on your local licencing conditions.
If you are licensed in: Cardiff, Dublin, Leicester, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Greater Brighton, or New Forest District (a council that falls within South Coast), you should:
- Drop any lost items off at the local police station.
- Once you have done this, contact us via the ‘Help > I found an item’ section of your app letting us know the reference number of the item and the address of the police station.
If you are licensed in London, Birmingham, Cambridge, South West, Stoke, Sheffield, Merseyside, Manchester, Belfast, North East, Leeds, and South Coast (apart from New Forest District), you should:
- Let us know via the ‘Help > I found an item’ section of your app. We will attempt to contact the rider on your behalf, and pass on your phone number with your permission.
- You can then make your own arrangements to return the item at a mutually convenient time and place. Alternatively you can drop the item into your local GLH.
If you do find an item and you’re not sure what to do, please contact us through the ‘Help’ section of your app, or visit your local GLH where we can advise you on the best steps to take.
