Uber and Outside Hacks Bring Hackathon to Outside Lands Festival

We’re excited to announce that we’re an official API sponsor for Outside Hacks 2015! When people think of music festivals, hackathons aren’t usually the first thing that comes to mind. However for the last two years, Outside Hacks has become the official hackathon for Outside Lands and the first large scale music festival hackathon in California. This year’s lineup features a broad spectrum of artists: Elton John, Axwell and Ingrosso, and Sam Smith, to name a few.

With over 60,000 attendees each year, the Outside Lands team created an official Outside Land app to help provide the best experience for their attendees. Outside Hacks isn’t just about building the most interesting app — it’s all about building something that improves the experience for artists and fans at Outside Lands. To top it all off, the winning app will get integrated into the official festival app and website for attendees to use! Time: Saturday July 11th at 12:00pm to Sunday July 12th at 6:00pm
Judging: Sunday July 12th 3:00 pm — 6:00 pm
Teams: 1–4 people
Goal: Build an App that enhances the experience for Artists and/or Fans at Outside Lands 2015
Grand Prize: $5,000 + VIP Incubation experience at Outside Lands
