Many riders travel to and from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) every day, making it a great place to earn fares. But, LAX has special regulations for ridesharing pickups and dropoffs that you need to know—take the LAX quiz in the Uber Driver app to learn them!
The in-app quiz covers all LAX rules and regulations, such as the requirement to wait in the staging lot before getting a trip request. Once you pass the quiz, you will become eligible for an LAX placard to begin accepting trips and earning more fares.
To take the quiz, open the Uber Driver app and scroll down on the home screen. If you’re not able to find it, write to us by tapping on the ‘HELP’ section of your app.

Ersin Yumer is a Staff Research Scientist, leading the San Francisco research team within Uber ATG R&D. Prior to joining Uber, he led the perception machine learning team at Argo AI, and before that he spent three years at Adobe Research. He completed his PhD studies at Carnegie Mellon University, during which he spent several summers at Google Research as well. His current research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, 3D computer vision, and graphics. He develops end-to-end learning systems and holistic machine learning applications that bring signals of the visual world together: images, point clouds, videos, 3D shapes and depth scans.
