From today, we are making a change to the way you are paid for the additional services you provide on Access and Assist trips. You will continue to receive an additional 15% on Access and Assist trips, but you will notice a couple of changes.
What is changing?
- Your upfront price on the trip offer card (what you see when you receive a trip request) for Access and Assist trips will no longer include the additional 15% earnings. You will see prices that match UberX for these journeys going forward.
- At the end of each week, we will review all of the Access and Assist trips you completed and make a payment into your Uber balance to top up your earnings by 15%.
- This payment will be made every Monday after 12PM, and you’ll be able to see the amount in your Weekly Earnings Statement for the relevant week under the name, ‘Trip earnings misc’. This amount will then be transferred to your bank account on your next withdrawal – either using the Instant Cashout feature, or through your next weekly payment cycle.
Why are we making this change?
We need to make an adjustment to our payment processing in order to ensure we can uphold our pricing commitment to both drivers and riders under a dynamic pricing model.
You can continue to accept Access and Assist trips as normal, and you will be able to see how much you made from these trips in your Weekly Earnings Statement from next week.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will I still earn 15% more on my Access and/or Assist Trips?
Yes, you will continue to earn 15% more on Access/Assist trips when compared to UberX. You will receive this in the form of weekly payments that will be calculated on your weekly earnings from Access and/or Assist trips.
- When will I receive these additional 15% earnings?
The additional 15% earnings will be calculated based on the same payment week, from Monday 4am to Monday 3:59am. You will receive the earnings top up from the previous week at the beginning of the following week.
- Will I be required to do anything?
No, we require no action from you. We will do all the changes to make sure you continue to have a seamless experience and enjoy taking up Access and Assist trips.
- What if I don’t receive my additional 15% earnings?
You can check how much of your weekly earnings consisted of additional 15% earnings from Access and/or Assist trips by checking your Weekly Earnings Statement. While we don’t expect this to happen, if you do have any issues or have questions, please reach out to support via the ‘Help’ section of the app.
