Although it’s come a long way since our initial launch in San Francisco, but UberX today is still the cornerstone of our ride-sharing service today – here’s why:

The core of our service is how affordable it is. No matter where we go, UberX will always be there as a low-cost option that still provides a service a cut above the rest in quality. For example, in every UberX ride, you can expect, at minimum, seats for at least 4 passengers, a radio you can choose the music on and air conditioning.

Part of that quality experience is made by the car models that UberX uses. The most popular models you’ll find in Accra and Kumasi are comfortable four door sedans from leading car manufacturers, with no model being older than the 2000s. Even if the price is low, we don’t compromise on the standard of the cars our drivers are fielding.

Even if cost-efficiency is UberX’s core, safety comes first. Before we get them on the roads, driver undergo background and vehicle checks. When you get in a ride, you can be sure that your driver can be trusted and the car itself is safe.
