The Uber app is designed for a fast and smart booking experience, that’s been tailored just for you. It also packs some very cool features in it, which you may not know how to use! We’re here to give you the low-down.
When you request a ride, the Uber app uses GPS technology to suggest the best pickup location for you. If you want to change your pickup point from the default, simply drag your pin to any location on the map. You can then just move the map to drop the pin exactly at the point where you wish to be picked up from.
Keep calm & schedule your ride
5am flight? Meeting with your boss? Schedule a ride up to 30 days in advance for the most important events on your calendar. How?
- Simply open the Uber app and tap the ‘car-and-clock’ icon.
- Set your pickup details and get a fare estimate.
- Confirm your upcoming trip and tap ‘Schedule.’
- Edit or cancel anytime before your ride, but remember that scheduled rides are subject to the same cancellation policies as on-demand rides.
Connect ahead of your ride with in-app chat
Every great ride starts with the pickup, which is why in-app chat makes it easier than ever to get in touch with your driver before you even get in to the vehicle. To chat to your driver while he/she is en-route, simply go to the Uber feed and tap “contact” and then “chat.” Both you and your driver will see if your chat has been delivered and read, helping you to confirm receipt of the message.
Grab the entire crew with Multiple Stops
With Multiple Stops, you can add up to three stops to your journey. That way, you can hop in your Uber and then grab the crew – all in one car, all in one trip! To use the feature, tap “where to?” and then “+”. Add the addresses of your stops, and then request your ride. Should you need to make changes during your trip, you can also add and remove stops in real time.
