Book Meter Taxi trip with Uber Taxi now

Uber has always strived to bring riders quality and flexible ride experience. Now, with just a tap on the Uber app, riders can book Meter Taxi rides, enjoying the affordability brought by the familiar meter-based pricing, with the same level of effortlessness.

During the initial phase, the booking fee with Meter Taxi rides will be waived. Currently only electronic payments are enabled, with cash payment options coming soon.

Affordable option: In general, Meter Taxi rides cost less than other upfront pricing options. The price is calculated based on the total amount shown on the meter, offering ease and simplicity.

Seamless platform experience: With just a tap, you can enjoy a metered ride along with a range of Uber app features. View the recommended route and estimated time of arrival, while enjoying professional driver-partner service and in-app safety features for a smoother experience.

Before settling the payment at the end of each trip, please check the actual meter price with the driver-partner. The confirmed price will be sent to the app by the driver-partner, and the system will charge you with your chosen e-payment option.   

Upon completion of the trip, you will receive a trip summary from Uber. If needed, you can demand a receipt from the driver, which shall be the legal receipt of your trip.

In connection with the Meter Taxi trip option, we have updated our General Terms of Use, including the HKTaxi Trip Terms and the new Meter Taxi Trip Terms.
