It is not surprising that many of our driver-partners are also entrepreneurs who turn to Uber as a flexible way to earn an additional income as they start and grow their freelancing or small businesses.

That’s why, we’re excited to announce UberENTREPRENEUR – an initiative celebrating and connecting entrepreneurs and small business owners who drive with Uber.

We’ll be partnering with organizations across the cities to host events and help provide tools and support to the people who are their own boss while driving with Uber and pursuing their passions.

Here’s How You Can Get Involved

As part of this initiative, we’ve created a unique feature to let you know if your driver is an UberENTREPRENEUR. The next time you take a ride, keep an eye out for a light bulb icon next to your driver’s name once you’ve requested through the app. We encourage you to ask them about what they do when they’re not behind the wheel.
