We have partnered with Delhi Police to spread awareness around ‘Don’t Drink & Drive’
6 December 2017 / New Delhi
Driving under influence is not only a risk to the driver but also to all those he comes across while driving. This festive season, avoid wrecking your night and let Uber drive you home from wherever you are, whenever you want.
In partnership with Delhi Traffic Police, we have set up ‘Don’t Drink and Drive Kiosks’ at Khan market, Saket, Connaught Place and Hauz Khas Village.
Kiosks will be live every day between 9pm to 2am in the month of December.
By joining hands with Delhi Traffic Police, we are aiming to spread awareness on drunk driving incidents and promote road safety. We’re focusing on hubs and areas in the capital city with the most number of bars and high volumes of trips at night and will offer a 50% discount (upto ₹75) on all non-POOL trips taken between 9 pm to 2 am. Promotional codes to avail this offer will be available at the kiosks and at all police check-points.
Commenting on the joint initiative Prabhjeet Singh, General Manager, North & Delhi NCR, Uber India said “Uber India is committed to promoting road safety and reducing incidents of drunk driving by providing an effective alternative. We are proud of our association with the Delhi Traffic Police to address a critical issue of road safety in the city. With this collaborative initiative we aim to reduce road traffic violations and casualties in some proportion and with the support of the Delhi Traffic Police, urge Delhiites to pledge to not drink and drive.”
