Uber Pet is a pet-friendly ride option for riders looking to be matched with driver-partners who are comfortable transporting pets in their vehicles. Uber Pet service will allow you to bring your pet (either 1 dog or 1 cat) with you on your Uber rides.
Rider Do’s
To help ensure a smooth ride for everyone, please consider having your pet travel in a carrier or with a harness/leash
Bringing along a pet pad or blanket can also help keep the vehicle clean
Ensure pet’s nails are trimmed to avoid any damage to the car seats
We appreciate your help in keeping your pet calm and well-behaved, as it helps make the ride pleasant for both the driver and other passengers
Rider Don’ts
To ensure a comfortable experience for everyone, we recommend not bringing pets that might be overly aggressive
It’s best to avoid feeding your pet inside the moving vehicle

Driver Discretion: Drivers may cancel a ride if they feel uncomfortable with a rider's pet. However, they have to proactively opt out from the service, in case they don't want to serve. Their access will be removed in case of 3 consecutive cancellations
Allowed Pet: Only 1 dog or cat is permitted during the ride; certain dog breeds may be excluded
Pet-Related Incidents (Vehicle Damage): Any damage to the vehicle, driver or cleaning fees incurred due to pet waste, should be settled between driver & rider. Uber will not be responsible for these incidents
Pet Carrying Legal Requirements (Mandatory) :
Any dog or cat shall be put in a cage and the cage containing the dogs or cats shall not be put on the roof of the vehicle but shall be put inside the vehicle preferably near the end of the vehicle
At least one attendant shall be present at all times during transit who shall ensure that proper transit conditions are observed
A valid health certificate by a qualified veterinary surgeon should be available with the rider

How many Pets can I bring?
You can bring one pet (eligible dog or a cat) on an UberPet trip.
What type of Pet can I bring on an Uber Pet trip?
You may bring one animal such as a dog or a cat. Please note, certain dog breeds may be excluded.  Any additional Pet you bring are within the individual driver-partner's discretion.
Does it cost extra to take Uber Pet service?
Since you'll be bringing along a pet, Uber Pet trips will cost more than other vehicle options, with which the driver will be compensated for additional service.

Driver’s vehicle damaged by pet
Pet animal being aggressive (hissing, barking, growling)
Driver bitten/scratched by Pet
Distraction while driving caused by pet
Driver complaining about health issues of pets or allergies with the pets
