How does insurance work on Taxi trips?
In the case of Taxi trips Uber does not provide insurance. Instead, taxis must comply with local regulations which include third party liability insurance. Any claim must be reported to the insurance company of the taxi vehicle. If an accident occurs, we recommend the passenger asks the taxi driver for proof of insurance so a claim can be filed.
