You can now enjoy a 0% service fee in Benin City with a daily payment of only ₦499!

How does it work?

A Fixed Platform Fee: Starting this week, a daily platform fee of ₦499 will be introduced. This fee is applicable only on days when you complete at least one trip.
0% Service Fee Per Trip: We’re also removing the service fee meaning that it is 0% per trip.
Transparency in Earnings: You can view the details of the platform fee and the reduced service fee in your weekly summary or in your earnings balance.

This updated fee structure is our commitment to ensuring a more rewarding experience for you. The fixed platform fee helps maintain and improve the services we offer, while the reduced service fee per trip means more earnings for you, especially as you complete more rides.

Limited time (Uber will go back to regular SF from 1 May (if not informed otherwise).

FAQs

1. Will the 0% SF be applicable on all trips? Yes! With the launch of a Daily Platform fee, there will not be any % service fee on any trips.

2. How do I pay the platform fee? Uber will deduct the platform fee by 12 PM everyday for the previous day. Eg: Monday platform fee will be deducted on Tuesday 12 PM. Driver doesn’t need to pay any platform fee actively. Please note platform fee will only be deducted when at least one trip is completed on the previous day. If no trip was completed, there will be no platform fee deducted.

3. Do I need to pay the platform fee upfront to get trips? No. Platform fee will be deducted the next day

4. How much platform fee is to be deducted? ₦499 per day from 6 March to 30 April. Any change, if any, in platform fee will be communicated one week in advance.

5. When will the platform fee be charged? If the driver completes one or more trips in a day [12 AM to 11:59 PM], platform fee will be deducted the next day.

6. Will I get a refund if I don’t take more trips on the platform? Platform fee will not be refunded. The platform fee applies as long as at least one trip was completed.

7. Will the platform fee be charged even if I don’t take a trip? No. Platform fee will not be charged in that case.

8. How can I earn more after paying this platform fee? Take as many trips as possible within the day to earn more.

9. Where can I find platform fees in the driver app? Platform fee will be visible in the earnings section.

10. Once platform fee is paid, will it be valid for 24 hours or expire at 12 pm midnight? Platform fee will valid till 12 pm midnight.

11. What is the benefit of paying a platform fee? Easy to understand fee that is charged daily when you complete 1 trip. Unlike the % SF that is charged on every trip, with Daily Platform fee the amount you are charged for using the app is fixed and does not change no matter how many trips you take. So the more trips you complete the more you can earn.

12. Is platform fee optional? No, the amount will be deducted for all drivers who take at least 1 trip in the previous day.
