Uber in the Netherlands
Uber is available in The Netherlands since 2012. Started in Amsterdam and now available in more than 5 cities. Every day we work hard to improve and increase driver availability via the Uber app to meet all trip requests.
Where can I get in?
Uber Netherlands is active throughout the Netherlands. For trip requests in certain areas, there is a chance that you will have to wait a little longer for your Uber to arrive. It may also be the case that there are no cars available, for example at night. We are working hard to increase availability in your area.
All over the world
Uber is not only available in the Netherlands, but in many more cities around the world. Handy, for example, when you are on holiday, because with the app you can apply for rides, 24 hours a day, in every city where Uber is active. So, if you want to go from your hotel in Barcelona to the beach, you can use your smartphone from your hotel room to request an Uber ride and before you know it your driver will be in front of your hotel. Handy, right? Just hop in and you’ll be on your way to your destination without any problems.
The benefits of Uber
Haven’t used Uber that much yet? Then we would like to briefly explain the benefits of traveling with Uber.
- When you request a ride you will be matched with a driver in your area who will pick you up as soon as possible and take you to the desired destination. This way, a driver travels short distances to pick up a passenger and you have a quick and easy ride.
- Before you request a ride you will always see a price indication, so you know in advance where you stand. Is your wallet empty after a night out? Payment is made automatically via your linked credit card or Paypal account, so no cash is required. That is safe for both you and your driver.
- Via the “share your ride” option you can let friends or family know where you are, and they can follow you in real time. They then know exactly when you will arrive, handy!
- Uber is about half the price of a regular taxi. Do you want to tip? Of course you can. When the ride has ended, you will automatically see the option ‘give a tip’, the tip goes entirely to the driver.
