Get going sooner with Taxis on Uber
Different look, same great experience
Taxis on Uber is launching in Wellington and Auckland. Taxis can now receive and accept Uber trip referrals so when you request an UberX, you may be sent a regular private hire vehicle or a Taxi on Uber.
It’s the same UberX experience, but with a different look.
Why are we launching Taxis on Uber?
With Taxis on Uber, there’ll be more driver-partners on the road, meaning:
- less waiting time
- upfront pricing (the same rate as an UberX)
- real-time tracking and ETA sharing
We know this system works. Taxis on Uber has been successful in cities across the globe, including New York City, Hong Kong, and Barcelona.
Legal Disclosures
Please note that Taxis on Uber in New Zealand cities are required to have cameras in their vehicles. There may be additional markings and other branding on the vehicles, including vinyls and decals.
