Uber and bp charge partner to help driver-partners and delivery people go electric
1 March / New Zealand
We are committed to helping driver-partners and delivery partners make the switch to EVs and eliminate tailpipe emissions from the Uber platform by 2040. To help reduce the costs of EV charging, we’re thrilled to be joining forces with bp charge, a leading network of charging stations in New Zealand.
What’s happening?
bp charge is providing all driver-partners and delivery people in New Zealand with exclusive discounts on EV charging. The discount is variable depending on your Uber Pro status, ranging from 5c/kWh for Blue/Green partners up to 8c/kWh for Diamond partners.
Blue/ Green | Gold | Platinum | Diamond |
5c/kWh | 6c/kWh | 7c/kWh | 8c/kWh |
Why are we doing this?
We know the total cost of EV ownership can beis one of the biggest hurdles when it comes to making the switch for driver-partners and delivery people. Through this important partnership with bp charge, we’re tackling that challenge head on as part of our ongoing work to bring down the costs of going electric.
To sign up to the bp charge offer – head to the ‘Uber Pro’ section of your driver app and select the bp charge reward tile. From there select ‘GET BP CHARGE’ and follow the sign up instructions. For the discount to be applied, your bp charge email address must be the same used for your Uber driver account.
