JUMP to temporarily pause in Australia and New Zealand
Written byIn every city we’ve made safety a bedrock principle for JUMP.
In Wellington, Melbourne Auckland and Adelaide we’ve always promoted the importance of riding safely, on wearing a helmet, respecting pedestrians and following the road rules.
We didn’t anticipate a global pandemic would shift the safety focus for us, but like all businesses in our region it has.
In line with the increased government guidance for COVID-19, we are temporarily pausing JUMP’s availability across Australia and New Zealand, including Wellington, Auckland, Adelaide and Melbourne.
JUMP’s e-bikes and e-scooters will be temporarily unavailable for use on the Uber platform in all of the four newly launched cities – with Adelaide the final location turned off at 10am local time on Thursday, March 26.
Our teams have already begun warehousing vehicles in all of these locations.
We have been encouraged to see how popular JUMP has already become in these communities and we’re looking forward to returning when the time is right.
This is an extremely difficult time and the health and safety of the community will always come first. Now, as always, stay safe.
