Free rides with Uber Medics for medical personnel

It’s a new feature created for the medical staff of hospitals taking care of COVID-19 patients. With Uber Medics the personnel may safely travel to and from their facilities. You’ll see it next to UberX and other available options. Uber Medics may be accessed only by the designated staff.

You may use the free trips with Uber Medic by May 31, 2020 (11:55 pm) or until all trips are used.

Uber Medics trips remain free up to 40 PLN. If the final cost of the trip exceeds 40 PLN, the difference will be paid by the rider.

Medical staff employed by or posted to work at either of the selected medical facilities.

Reach out to us directly, we’ll ask you to verify your employment and once complete, we will activate Uber Medics on your account. Please use this form to get in touch.

We have committed to 10 000 trips for medical staff of the hospitals participating in the action. They may take trips with Uber Medics until May 31, 2020, or until the allocated trips are used up. If you have received a promo code from your hospital’s administration, you may take 1 trip to or from the hospital. If you have applied directly via this form, you may take no more than 100 trips, however, keep in mind that once all the allocated trips are used up, you will not be able to take more trips.

If you have the Uber app installed:

• Open the app and go to menu in upper left corner 

• Open “Wallet” tab

• At the bottom of the tab you’ll see  “Promotions” section and “Add promo code” button

• Tap on “Add promo code” and enter your code

• Confirm by tapping the “Add” button.  The promo code will be activated on your account.

Uber Medic can be accessed only by registered Uber app users. To install the app:

• If you’re using iPhone, open the App Store if you’re using phone with Android OS, open Google Play store

• Click on search bar located at the top and enter “Uber”. Once the search is complete, you should see the Uber logo - click on it and tap “Install”  

• Accept all install settings

• Once the app is installed, open it.  You will be asked to give your permission to location services - once you agree, the app will be able to locate which will make your user experience more smooth. 

• Enter your phone number - you’ll receive a text message with verification code, please enter it in the app. 

• Fill in your details and enter your email address - we will  send you there trip receipts 

• Choose your password. 

• Enter your name. Once completed, you may start using the app.

If you have received a promo code from your hospital’s administration, you can only use it for trips to or from your medical facility. If you choose a different route that doesn’t start or end at your medical facility, the code will not work.

Uber Medics may only be used for trips to or from select medical facilities.
