Romanians love and know how to hang out a lot. Of course, in Bucharest you can spend Friday night at home watching a film, but why, when things are humming, and every week the new unvisited bars appear. The only good excuse for refusing to take a couple of shots on Friday night and dance until the morning can be an upcoming party on Saturday. So, to help you not to miss perhaps one of the hottest parties and not to get lost in the variety of options, together with Uber we have gathered 10 places to expand your list of parties, where you can dance yourself to exhaustion with good music and a great company.
First, you should visit the old center of Bucharest (also called Lipscani district), the heart of bars, restaurants and clubs of the city. About 100 places are located on a fairly small area! At the same time, even the most party addicted locals for sure have not visited all of them: places are constantly open and close in Lipscani. And there is a very small chance to return here in a couple of months and to find all the bars where they were.

Strada Șelari, 17
Before you walk around the old center, check out Shoteria! The bar describes itself quite specifically: either the station of the first alcoholization, or rehabilitation. In the first case you have a variety of shots and cocktails (from classical to the results of bartenders’ fantasy), in the second case – detox smoothies, borsch, kefir and pickles. The bar is opened in the midst of parties: from 9pm to 5am. And don’t forget the main rule – drink all shots down!
And when you get second wind, and think you understand Romanian a little better, it’s time to move on.

Strada Gabroveni, 14
Mojo is positioning itself as an all-in-one. If the heart wants to sing, every evening on the top floor of the bar you can find a karaoke, and if you want to dance – go down to the lower level, where you will for sure get to a concert of some local band. If you want something less intensive, you can always stay at the bar with a glass in your hand and watch the fans cheering up their favorite athletes. It so happened that Mojo became a favorite place not only for locals, but also for Bucharest expats. Therefore, we will not promise a super-authentic atmosphere, but you will definitely find a fun international company!

Strada Șelari, 4
From March to October, Bucharest is perfect place to hang out on the terraces. And the best of them is Food Hood. The terrace is the largest street food venue in Eastern Europe. The joy from a burger and local beer (or whatever you like) is much bigger and brighter, when you recline in a chaise longue, with your feet in the sea sand. For full effect don’t forget to check the schedule of live music concerts. With your feet in the sand and a cocktail in your hand it’s nothing to do but closing your eyes, and suddenly you find yourself not in the center of Bucharest, but at a beach party somewhere on the Romanian coast.

Strada Smârdan, 30
This is a place to choose when you wish to nurse a cocktail in the lounge bar with a downtown view after long walks around the city and alternative places. Prices here are higher than in most places “closer to the ground”, but in addition to the cocktail you get a good music, beautiful interior and, of course, a view of the center of Bucharest from above. Tremendous pleasure is to watch the busy old center before the night life!

Strada Lipscani, 38
If you are a fan of bicycles and everything that is related to them, be sure to drop in for a drink in Bicicleta. It is located in the very center of Bucharest, on the street, which has given the name to the whole old city – the Lipscani street. Tables-bicycles, chairs-bicycles, bicycles on the walls. Everything is fun, cheerful, friendly and with a view of the central street of the old center and tourists with cameras.
If after walking around historical and very tourist old town you want something more local, but no less fun, search for the following addresses in GPS, they are within walking distance of the center.

Calea Griviței, 55
J’ai Bistrot is a place hidden between small houses in the area of Piaţa Victoriei and the railway station. But it’s worth looking for! This place suits all occasions: delicious food (the chef promises that the food will be like at home, in the best traditions of the latter, of course), relax (choose a drink to taste and go to the patio on the terrace to sit under the trees and listen to a mix of good music and the noise of the city) and fun (come around here the evening after, and all but certain you will get to a party or concert). The place is a half an hour walk from the old center, which means that this is a perfect way to feel the cultural hangout in Bucharest.

Șoseaua Grozavești, 82
Quantic is not only a pub, but a whole cultural space near the beautiful old district of Bucharest – Cotroceni. Come here to enjoy concerts, plays, exhibitions, festivals and parties, and also to drink delicious beer at democratic prices with impressive graffiti as a background.

Strada Dianei, 4
A bar, a restaurant, a terrace and a club within the walking distance of one of the central squares – Universitate. If you come here in a warm season, be sure to enjoy a glass of something delicious on the terrace under the trees. On weekend evenings there are theme parties and concerts. High quality music and unforgettable atmosphere are guaranteed!

Strada 11 Iunie, 50
We decided to write about B52 and Fabrica bars together: they are separated by a large terrace, so if you get into one of them, then you will get in the second one almost for sure. The legendary seaside village of Vama Veche on the very border with Bulgaria is almost sacred for the Romanians: this is a place of the hottest beach hippie parties and, of course, the most vivid memories for the next winter. Not to dive into this sense of nostalgia for summer and carefree time during long dark evenings, B52 and Fabrica appeared in the early 2000s. Private concerts and festivals, music that leaves no choice to dance or not, that holiday atmosphere, when problems are far away, and the sea is so close, and, of course, the pleasant prices – all that made both B52 and Fabrica extremely popular and dearly beloved. Is this not an excuse to visit here?

Strada Colței, 50
If your version of the perfect evening is a relaxed atmosphere, good music and less decibels in your ears, you should visit the Epic Bar, located five minutes from the old center. Come here for craft beer, some varieties of which are not so often to find in other bars, and for intellectual-fanatic activities. The program of the bar has something new for every evening: watching movies, books presentations (if you get to non-English-speaking event, sit next to locals and ask them to translate you the most interesting parts), and desktop games battles. Regular visitors of the Epic Bar assure: you never leave this place without new best friends and, of course, people always come back here.
