About the Role
Operations Specialists work in collaboration with the Country Operations Manager to execute projects and deliver the growth targets for Romania.
This person will work to attract, convert, engage and retain drivers and riders facing a multitude of complex needs and bottlenecks. This requires a commitment to operational excellence, a deep understanding of drivers’ and riders’ life cycle, the capacity of out-of-the-box thinking, and a customer centric mindset to implement high impact initiatives to develop user engagement. This role also calls for highly adaptable profiles that are keen to tackle different issues and will demonstrate ability to push new initiatives and positively challenge the existing. What You’ll Do
- Analytics: utilise data to understand user behaviour and areas for improvement in our marketplace dynamics, sign-up, promotion programs and more.
- Verbal communication: you are comfortable to give a 30-seconds Uber elevator pitch to a stranger or cold-calling and you are able to communicate to different types of audiences and adapt your message. Moreover, in this role you would assist with local fleet relationships; test and implement fleet tools that help partners with driver onboarding and fleet management.
- Driver operations: work closely with the Country Ops Manager to find ways to make local operations run more smoothly. Become a project manager, monitor progress and continuously eliminate inefficiencies.
- Customer obsession: work with support teams and implement strategic solutions to improve driver & rider experience in your market
- Driver & Rider growth: take ownership for Uber’s growth in Romania and collaborate with Regional Operations Team to develop and execute Driver & Rider Channels initiatives. Support launching new cities.
- Product Testing: test all new product features in the local context. Provide feedback to EMEA Central and CEE Central team members
- Emergency Response & Mitigation: take action in the country to mitigate against crisis/emergency situations
What you’ll need
- Feel comfortable with data analytics tools (SQL is a requirement or a strong desire to learn is very welcomed)
- Enjoy translating deep dive analytics into tangible recommendations which fit into the country strategy
- Ability to work independently, identify challenges and propose solutions
- Multi-tasking. You are great at multi-tasking and executing simultaneous projects and activities without compromising on quality. You can prioritise high impact activities to keep projects moving forward.
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment (be an owner)
- Very strong communication and organisational skills
- Business curiosity. You love to learn and constantly seek ways to improve your understanding of the business and the tools you use. You share your learnings with your team and encourage others (and yourself) to take on new opportunities for further development
- Great team player and proven collaboration & leadership skills
