The 2024 Uber Eats Cravings Report
Written byWe’re back with the sixth annual Uber Eats Cravings Report – a snapshot of the most popular, the most surprising, and some of the wackiest delivery requests.
While 2024 was a year of new food trends – cottage cheese bread, anyone? – one thing remained the same: our customers trusted us with their tastebuds, leveraging our customization features at every turn. Some of the more unique cravings include scallops with boiled eggs, fajitas and French onion soup, and pepperoni pizza with anchovies.
It also seemed to be a year of indulgence. Folks requested 20x the normal amount of scallions, mountains of spicy mayo and the “maximum” amount of cheese. And while tequila was the most popular alcohol order last year, our data shows that vodka is the now most commonly ordered spirit on Uber Eats, with Tito’s at the top.
Eaters across the country relied on us to deliver their groceries and convenience items too, from tons and tons of bananas to Plan B and pimple patches.

Over the last few months, we’ve seen some trends that might surprise you…
- (Fry)day night lights: When the sun goes down, the fries come out – according to our data, the #1 late night Uber Eats order is a medium french fry. No smalls around here!
- Solar eclipse tippin’: Customers were shedding some light on their pocketbooks during last year’s eclipse. In 2024, driver tips were the highest per trip on October 14 – the day the moon passed in front of the sun.
- Very into vodka: Move over tequila! Our data shows that vodka is the most commonly ordered spirit on Uber Eats, and Tito’s takes the cake for everyone’s favorite. While vodka continues to top the charts for Uber Eats’ alcohol deliveries, sangria made a shocking appearance in this year’s report.
- Election Night Eats: Powering up for the long night, Americans ordered fuel on Uber Eats. From kebabs and guacamole to Lamarca Prosecco and White Claw, folks across the country watched the results trickle in together. In fact, alcohol sales were up more than 10% day over day and nearly 20% compared to the previous week.
- Thankful for delivery: With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we’re already starting to see searches spike for holiday staples like sweet potato, casserole, cranberry sauce and more. And last year, we saw a nearly 1000% increase in orders for turkey on Thanksgiving Day!
- Spice up your life: Whether it’s mild, hot or fire, Americans are feeling the heat with hot sauce as their top condiment to order followed by sweet n’ sour sauce, ranch and bbq.

- Plan B: Americans are more prepared than ever with Plan B One-Step Emergency Contraceptives moving up in the ranks from the fourth most popular non-food item last year to now taking the number two spot.
- Making the marga-right choice: No matter the dinner order, our data says margaritas seem to go with everything. Over the last year, Americans have paired the frozen, flavored and on-the-rocks cocktail with just about everything from sushi to pizza.
