In the wake of Typhoon Krathon’s devastating winds and rains, which impacted numerous cities in Taiwan, Uber Eats is stepping up to assist those in need. Today, Uber Eats announced a significant commitment of ten million TWD in the “Post Krathon Typhoon Care Program,” aimed at supporting local merchants, delivery partners, and consumers across  10 severely affected cities and counties.

Uber Eats is here to support merchants, delivery partners and consumers located in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Taitung, Hualien, Nantou, Chiayi, Yunlin, Yilan, and Keelung. “Post Krathon Typhoon Care Program” includes: 

  • Support for Local Businesses: To aid recovery, Uber Eats will waive two months of fees for local merchant partners, offering 5,000 application spots starting October 9.
  • Care for Delivery Partners: Over 10,000 local delivery partners will receive a care subsidy of 600 TWD each, with distributions planned for October 9 and 10.
  • Consumer Support: From now until October 31, consumers in these 10 cities/counties can use the promo code “應援點得到”(Get Support) to enjoy free delivery on orders over 149 TWD, with a limit of thirty uses per account during this promotional period. Additionally, from October 9 to 17, selected cleaning products will be offered at 50% off.
