A new reward that can give you access to higher-paying deliveries and updated eligibility criteria

Reliable deliveries keep customers coming back to the Uber Eats app. With this goal in mind, we’re piloting changes to the Uber Eats Pro program in select cities.¹
Couriers who accept more requests, cancel less, and provide reliable service will receive priority access to higher-paying deliveries² through a new Uber Eats Pro reward called Preferred Deliveries.
We will also be updating the criteria for achieving Gold, Platinum, and Diamond status, including introducing acceptance rate as a new criteria for eligibility.
This pilot is now live in these select markets: Salt Lake City, Atlanta, Central Atlantic Coast, Cleveland, Dallas, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham, Savannah-Hilton Head, San Antonio, St. Louis.
Read on to learn more about what we’re piloting for Uber Eats Pro.
New reward: Preferred Deliveries

Preferred Deliveries can help you maximize your time and earnings while on the road by giving you priority access to higher-paying restaurant deliveries.² Gold couriers will be prioritized over Green couriers nearby and Platinum and Diamond couriers will be prioritized over Gold and Green couriers nearby. If eligible, you’ll see the new Preferred Delivery icon on the offer card so you know which offers are higher-paying.
On top of Preferred Deliveries, you’ll continue to receive all the same great rewards as before.
New Uber Eats Pro eligibility criteria

We’ve added acceptance rate to the criteria that helps determine your status. Now, every delivery you accept will help get you closer to the next status. Learn more about acceptance rate and how it’s calculated here.
For new couriers, the acceptance rate, cancellation rate, and satisfaction rate is calculated after the first 10 exclusive trip requests. Remember, rejecting Trip Radar requests doesn’t count against your acceptance rate.
We’re also updating some of the criteria for cancellation rate, satisfaction rate, and points thresholds for each status. Acceptance rate, cancellation rate, and satisfaction rate will be based on your last 100 exclusive trip requests received.
If you were notified of being switched from Uber Pro to Uber Eats Pro, this is because you have primarily completed Uber Eats deliveries. This change will only impact the rewards program you are enrolled in and will not change your ability to complete ride or delivery requests.
Uber Eats Pro criteria changes:
Green | No requirements |
Gold | [New] Acceptance rate: 30% or more [Updated] Cancellation rate: 8% or less [Updated] Satisfaction rate: 90% or more [Updated] Points: 25 |
Platinum | [New] Acceptance rate: 50% or more Cancellation rate: 5% or less [Updated] Satisfaction rate: 92% or more [Updated] Points: 50 |
Diamond | [New] Acceptance rate: 50% or more Cancellation rate: 5% or less [Updated] Satisfaction rate: 92% or more Points: Varies by city (check the Uber Eats Pro hub in the Driver app) |
While piloting these changes, we heard your concerns about meeting Satisfaction rate requirements. Based on this feedback, we are temporarily lowering the Satisfaction rate requirement for each Uber Eats Pro status starting March 63.
While this change is temporary, we are working to improve how we determine Satisfaction rate as a criteria for Uber Eats Pro status moving forward. This change will give more couriers the opportunity to experience the benefits of Preferred Deliveries and provide time to improve or maintain their Satisfaction rates.
As this is a pilot program, you can expect occasional adjustments to the program. We will provide you notice of any further changes to Satisfaction rate criteria or other program changes in advance.
To maintain your status and rewards, you must continually meet the eligibility requirements. If you no longer meet the criteria for your status, it will be adjusted based on your current eligibility and reflected in the Uber Eats Pro hub in real time. The Uber Eats Pro program points reset to 0 at the beginning of each month.
Rewards that really deliver
Remember, in addition to Preferred Deliveries there are lots of other great Uber Eats Pro rewards you get to enjoy. Depending on your status you can continue to enjoy other rewards that are valuable on and off the road—like cash back on gas with the Uber Pro Card, a Costco Gold Star membership at no cost for the first year, and 100% tuition coverage at Arizona State University.4

Tips for boosting your acceptance rate
- When flat rates are available, you can sign up to earn a set hourly active rate, plus any tips, during certain times. Find any available flat rates in the Opportunity Center in your app. Learn more about flat rates here. Please note that Preferred Deliveries is not available when you are earning with flat rates.
- Accepting more of the exclusive trip requests you receive while online, and going offline when you do not wish to receive any more requests.
- Check out the Earnings Heatmap on the homescreen to see areas where higher earnings are expected.
Tips for improving your Satisfaction rate
Providing great service guarantees that couriers, merchants, and customers all enjoy the best possible experience with Uber Eats. Below are some tips and recommendations from highly-rated couriers to help improve your Satisfaction rate:
- Order confirmation – Consider verifying the order details by reviewing the receipt for the customer name, items, and other details to avoid mistakes. For sealed packages, customers typically prefer receiving them intact.
- Starting trips quickly — Customers can track your movement in the Uber Eats app and appreciate it when you start the trip right after you’ve picked up the order. Taking the efficient route shown in your Driver app Map can help ensure the food arrives on time.
- Communicating updates — Customers appreciate a quick message letting them know you’re on your way. This allows them to be prepared to meet you at the door or be on the look-out. If you have trouble finding the customer, you can contact them directly through the in-app chat or by phone.
- Reading customer instructions — Customers often leave drop-off instructions in the app. Reading and following these notes can help you save time and make the drop-off as smooth as possible.
- Handling food with care — Handling food carefully, such as keeping pizzas flat and securing drinks, can help increase your rating from customers and merchants. An insulated delivery bag is a great way to ensure smoother deliveries and keep food at the right temperature. If interested, you can purchase one here.
- Share niceties — Highly-rated couriers recommend engaging with customers and merchants to improve the delivery experience. Customers tell us that a simple “hello” or “enjoy your meal” can make a big difference.
¹The Uber Eats Pro criteria changes and Preferred Deliveries reward pilot are only applicable in the following cities: on 10/14/24: Salt Lake City, on 11/1/24: Atlanta, Central Atlantic Coast, Cleveland, Dallas, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham, Savannah-Hilton Head, San Antonio, St. Louis. For markets not in the pilot program, check the Uber Eats Pro hub in the Driver app for your market’s Uber Eats Pro eligibility criteria. Uber reserves the right to change or terminate this program at any time.
²Gold, Platinum, and Diamond couriers get priority access to higher-paying deliveries on Uber Eats restaurant deliveries as compared to Green couriers. The determination of higher paying deliveries is based on expected payment as determined at the time the customer places the order (and is inclusive of tip designated by the customer at time order is placed). Priority access is not a guarantee of higher earnings or the amount of delivery requests eligible couriers will receive. Tips are subject to customer discretion and may change post-delivery. Restaurant deliveries made via channels other than Uber Eats (e.g., Uber Direct) and non restaurant deliveries (e.g., grocery orders) are excluded from priority access to higher-paying deliveries.
3Satisfaction Rate changes only apply to Uber Eats Pro program. No changes are made to any other Uber programs where Satisfaction Rate is used as a measurement criteria.
4Reward availability depends on Uber Eats Pro status.
