What Uber Rewards means for drivers
Uber Rewards is a program that gives people more reasons to choose Uber and Uber Eats with earned benefits such as priority pickups at most airports, priority support, and Uber Cash rewards.
Similar to Uber Pro,* our driver rewards beta program in certain cities, Uber Rewards aims to reward our most loyal customers and create a better experience with Uber.

How does Uber Rewards work?
Riders earn points and rewards by taking trips and ordering Uber Eats. Our hope is that this will help Uber grow and create more trip and delivery requests for you.
Will I still get a cancellation fee on canceled trips?
Yes. Although riders at the Gold membership level and above can get some cancellation fees refunded in certain situations, you’ll still be paid cancellation fees as you normally would.

What are price-protected trips, and how will I be paid for them?
Riders who earn enough points to reach the Platinum or Diamond membership level can get a protected set price on a specific route during busy hours. On these trips, when that protected price applies, you’ll still be paid based on the base fare, time, and distance, plus any applicable surge and tips, regardless of the rider’s discounted price.

Will I still get paid a delivery fee when customers get free delivery on Uber Eats?
Yes. If you’re a delivery partner, you’ll still be paid a delivery fee as you normally would if a customer qualifies for free delivery with an Uber Eats order.
How do complimentary surprise upgrades work?
A small percentage of riders who reach the Diamond membership level may occasionally be given a complimentary surprise upgrade to UberBlack if they request UberX and an UberBlack vehicle is nearby and available. In these cases, the driver still will be paid based on the UberBlack base fare, time, and distance, plus any applicable surge and tips.
Can I participate in Uber Rewards as a rider?
You sure can. If you have the Uber Rider app or Uber Eats app, you can enroll in Uber Rewards.
