UberMECHANIC: Flat Tyre Got You Stuck?

On Sunday 15th November, you can request uberMECHANIC, the on-demand bicycle mechanic for the Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge.
With the touch of a button and a R90 charge, you can request an uberMECHANIC equipped with a Shimano mechanic, and in minutes your mechanic will arrive ready to help you with your flat!

HOW TO REQUEST UBERMECHANIC:
- OPEN your Uber mobile app
- TAP the person icon in the top left corner of the screen
- SELECT ‘Promotions’ and apply the promo code ‘947’ to unlock the uberMECHANIC vehicle view
- SLIDE the button to the end and select the MECHANIC option
- REQUEST your uberMECHANIC
THE DETAILS:
Pricing: The unique uberMECHANICS option will be available to you on the day of the Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge. There is a flat rate of R90. The Shimano mechanic will supply you with basic mechanical assistance, and, whether needed or not, you’ll score a tube (because you never know when that will come in handy).
Reliability: We’ve placed mechanics and drivers strategically across the route. Each mechanic has a dispatch radius and will attend to any requests in that area. Please note: mechanics will only be assisting requests through the app, and will only be valid for Cycle Challenge on Sunday 15th November.
Mechanicals: Mechanics are geared to help with minor mechanical issues, repairs are limited to flat tyres, minor tyre repairs and broken chains. Remember it helps to service your bike before the big day!
