About the Role

The Senior Territory Account Manager role is an exciting opportunity to showcase your Account Management, Relationship Management, and Sales expertise while driving success for our highest-value merchant partners. You will be the trusted advisor for Small-to-Medium Sized Businesses (SMBs), ensuring they maximize their growth potential on Uber Eats through marketing, operational excellence, and retention strategies.

What You Will Do

  • Own and manage a portfolio of top-tier Uber Eats merchant partners.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships through email, phone, and in-person meetings.
  • Drive revenue growth by upselling marketing solutions (Ads, Promotions, Offers).
  • Analyze merchant performance, track KPIs, and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize merchants’ operations and maximize their potential.
  • Act as a trusted consultant, providing strategic recommendations to improve sales, menu efficiency, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams to resolve merchant issues and enhance their experience.
  • Implement and standardize best practices for merchant success in the Cape Town market.
  • Advocate for Uber Eats, ensuring our brand, mission, and values are represented in all merchant interactions.

What You Will Need

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Operations, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of building and managing strategic partnerships with SMBs.
  • Ability to analyze data and turn insights into action using Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, or Python.
  • Self-starter mindset – you work independently and thrive with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills – ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in upselling digital marketing solutions (ads, promotions, etc.).
  • Ability to present complex data in a digestible, visually compelling manner (charts, graphs, reports).
  • Experience in marketplaces, e-commerce, or tech-driven sales environments.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support teams.
