- Will I be able to request metered taxi rides through the Uber app?
Yes, you will be able to request metered taxi rides supported by Uber drivers directly from the Uber app, providing greater convenience.
- Can unused Taxi Dollars be redeemed for cash?
No. All unused Taxi Dollars are non-refundable. But riders can use their remaining Taxi Dollars at any time before the HKTaxi account deactivation date, by April 30, 2025. In addition, all HKTaxi riders who register for an Uber account before April 1, 2025, using the same phone number as their HKTaxi account will automatically receive a reward of Uber Cash in their Uber account equivalent to their unused Taxi Dollars as of the deactivation date. Note: If HKTaxi riders do not register as Uber users before April 1, 2025, or if they register using a phone number different from their existing HKTaxi account, they will not be able to receive the reward.
- What’s the final day I can get support from existing HKTaxi support channels?
The HKTaxi platform and app will cease operations on April 1, 2025. The related support hotline and WhatsApp services will close at 12pm on April 30, 2025. For support using Uber, go to Uber’s Help Center or choose Help in the Account section of the Uber app.
