Uber Reserve Terms of Use

Uber Reserve trips are subject to the following terms and conditions (“Reserve Terms”). These Reserve Terms supplement other terms you have agreed to with Uber which govern your use of the Services. Terminology in these Reserve Terms that is not otherwise defined has the meanings as in the General Terms.

Reserve is not available in some places, and may be unavailable at times based on market conditions. Please check the Uber app to see if Reserve is live in your city.

Key Points (read full text for other critical details):

• Uber doesn't guarantee a driver will accept your reservation request and “Reservation Confirmed” does not mean a driver has accepted. You can see your driver’s details in the app when a driver has accepted.
• You may be charged a cancellation fee for canceling a ride within one hour of the requested pickup time when a driver has accepted the trip, or if you do not show up for the ride. However, the cancellation fee will be waived if you cancel before you get the driver's details, even if it is within one hour of the trip.
• Reserve prices are different - and may be higher - than on-demand prices for the same trip.
• Pickup and dropoff times are estimates and may change based on traffic and other real-world factors. 

Reserve Pricing and Promotions

When you request a Reserve trip, the price you see will be an estimate that includes a Reservation Fee. This fee varies depending on the pickup address and/or the day and time of the trip but is always included in the upfront price.

Your ride price may increase if your trip's length, duration, or route changes.

Certain promotions may not be eligible for use with Reserve trips. See applicable promotion terms for details. Eligible promotions will be applied to your Reserve trip price at the time your driver is prompted to begin traveling to your pickup location. Note that promotions are not eligible for use on Local Cab or Uber Taxi, as applicable.

Cancellations

You may be charged a cancellation fee for a requested Reserve trip if you have been matched with a driver and (1) you, your family profile member, or your guest rider, as applicable, cancels your request within 60 minutes of the trip, or 60 minutes of gate arrival time for Reserve airport pickups, or (2) after the pickup time, the rider does not meet their driver within the wait time included in the price for your ride type, and the driver cancels.

Reserve cancellation fees are typically higher than they are for on-demand trips. Wait times and cancellation fee amounts vary by ride type and by location. Refer to the Cancellation Policy in the Uber app for wait times, cancellation fee amounts, and minimum lead times (if applicable) that apply to each ride type.

You will receive a notification when your driver is on the way. However, if your driver is expected to be significantly late, for most trips (excluding airport trips), we’ll let you know in advance, and you'll have 10 minutes from that notice to cancel at no charge.

Country/Region-Specific Uber Reserve Terms:

Australia: Reservation Fees are capped at a maximum of AU$19.99.

Canada: Reservation Fees are capped at a maximum of CA$80.00.

Colombia and Honduras: For clarity, the term “trip” as used in these Terms refers to a “lease” or the act of “carrying out a lease,” and the term “driver” refers to the “lessor.”

France: Pricing (including advance booking and waiting time surcharges) for Uber Taxi and Taxi Business trips is calculated by applicable regulations. See the in-app product details for these options for more information on regulated taxi pricing.

Hong Kong: When reserving a trip, you request that the driver-partner: (1) reconfirm the trip at least 40 minutes before pickup (60 minutes for Uber Black), and (2) refrain from canceling less than an hour before pickup.

New Zealand: Reservation Fees are capped at a maximum of NZ$19.99.

Uber Platinum: Uber Platinum trips are only available in the United States.

United Kingdom: By reserving an Uber Reserve trip through the Uber platform, you make an offer to purchase the Uber Transportation Services which are the subject of your Uber Reserve reservation. There is no obligation on us to accept this offer, and we can decline your offer for any reason. Your offer will only be accepted when we provide written confirmation of the Relevant Uber Transportation Services via text message, email, or push notification from Uber's mobile application. This message, email, or push notification will include details of the driver who has confirmed their availability to fulfill your Booking.

United States: For Uber Platinum trips, upon booking your reservation, we may share your pickup and dropoff details with third-party fleet partners to fulfill the trip.
