Uber Hourly Premier Terms and Conditions

Hours Available for Booking
1. The hourly charter service is available from a minimum of one (1) hour to a maximum of eight (8) hours.
2. Booking of the hourly charter service is available from 30 days before the scheduled departure time until 2 hours before that time. However, matching with a driver will only begin one week before the scheduled departure time. Although Booking of the hourly charter service is also available from less than 2 hours before the scheduled departure time until 20 minutes before that time, the possibility of being matched with a driver becomes lower. As stated below, your booking will not have been confirmed until you receive a notice that you have been matched with a driver.
3. If you want to use the hourly charter service right now (i.e. booking less than 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time), you can choose “Leave now”.
Fees
1. The fee for hourly charter service (including taxes) are shown in the table below. Please note that the following amounts include booking fees.
2. In the above fee table, there is a standard distance prescribed for each charter service hour. If an actual ride distance exceeds the standard distance, an excess fee of 0.467 yen per meter will be charged. If actual ride hours exceed the scheduled ride hours that you entered upon a ride request, an excess fee of 1.95 yen per second will be charged. For the avoidance of doubt, if an actual ride distance exceeds the standard distance, and actual ride hours also exceed the scheduled ride hours, excess fees in terms of both distance and hours will be charged. The final usage fee shall be an amount with any fraction less than one yen rounded to the nearest yen.
Steps up to Confirmation of Booking / Matters to Note
1. When you complete the booking procedures and have been matched with a driver, a notice to that effect will be sent to you. When you receive the notice that you have been matched, a vehicle-dispatch contract will be concluded and your booking will be confirmed.
2. At the time when you complete the booking procedures within the Uber app, the vehicle-dispatch contract will not yet have been concluded.
3. After completing the booking procedures, please check the booking details and matching status with the driver from the usage history in the Uber app. However, you cannot change your booking time unless you cancel your booking. A canceled booking may incur a cancellation fee.
4. Please note that even if your booking is confirmed, the driver may not pick you up at the booked time due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, the physical condition of the driver, or traffic conditions. To avoid a delay due to unforeseen circumstances during your trip, we recommend that you book your ride by scheduling your departure time well in advance.
Steps of Cancellation/Boarding
1. The booking cancellation fees are as follows. However, if you haven’t been matched with a driver yet and your booking has not yet been confirmed, you can cancel the ride for free. Also, if you book the hourly charter service from less than 2 hours before the scheduled departure time until 20 minutes before that time or if you use the function “Leave now”, the cancellation fee shall be governed by the Cancellation Policy for the usual Uber Premium service.
2. The driver will usually pick you up at the designated location 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Even if the departure time is earlier than the scheduled departure time, you may depart earlier than the booked time if the driver has already arrived at the designated location.
3. If you want to add or change destinations, please do so in the Uber app after both the driver and you have arrived at the designated location and before departure. If you add or change your destination, please notify the driver to that effect. However, please note that if ride hours or distance exceeds the initial ride hours or standard distance due to such change of destination, an excess fee will be charged as set forth in the “Fees” section above.
4. The driver will wait for you at the designated location for 15 minutes after the scheduled departure time. However, if you have not arrived to accept the ride as scheduled after 15 minutes have passed without making a phone call or sending a message, you will be deemed to have canceled the vehicle-dispatch contract. In that case, a cancellation fee will be charged based on these Terms and Conditions.
5. If the driver foresees any fraud, personal danger, etc. from your behavior, we may cancel the vehicle-dispatch contract (before arriving at the destination). For the details in such cases, please contact our Support Center.
