The event, the largest chowder and soup competition in New England, has earned dedicated date on the calendar, Chowdafest Day, by the Governor of CT. So grab a spoon, a ballot, and decide which of the chowders should be crowned king.

If you’re looking for a day to discover and taste a variety of different seasonal brews this is the event for you. Sample everything from European-style lagers, to saisons, to ciders at this featuring over 85 breweries. And, all proceeds from the event will go to charity.

It’s tough to find a combination of words that sounds more appealing. This annual event put on by Fleishers Craft Butchery in Westport celebrating fall, meat, and beer with a pig roast, housemade sausages, and a live Austrian band.

Take a trip to B.F. Clyde’s Cider Mill in Mystic Country pick a pumpkin, and pair some hard cider with their famous apple cider donuts. If cider isn’t your thing, take a trip to Bishop’s Orchards Farm Market & Winery in Guilford and pick a pumpkin perfect for painting, carving, or cooking—it’s your time to get creative! Stop by the winery inside and bring a bottle home—you might find your new favorite pairing for Thanksgiving.
