Since the Dodge brothers were tinkering in a garage in the late 1800s, Midtown has been a hotbed of creativity and artistic expression – and that’s never been more true than today, where galleries and restaurants line the streets around Wayne State University.

To make this list, we combined trip data from 2016 and a conversation with the Detroit Institute of Arts to nail down the top 10 Midtown hot spots.

With 130 beers on tap, there is something for everyone to try while you watch your favorite sports team. Fun fact, HopCat has also been a fan favorite of Uber Grand Rapids riders.

In addition to being one of the top concert venues in Detroit, this spot offers bowling, billiards and a few different food options.
