Celebrating the “Gouda Girls” on International Women’s Day
Written byIn celebration of International Women’s Day, UberEATS is shining a spotlight on Tina and Katherine Tonn, the founders of Milwaukee’s Gouda Girls food truck. The “Gouda Girls” combine a passion for food, trucking and all things Wisconsin aboard the roving food truck, which travels around the metropolitan Milwaukee area offering samples of Wisconsin’s best dairy products and delicious grilled cheeses.
From a grilled mac and cheese sandwich called “The Mac” to the “Wisconsin Cheese Steak,” the Gouda Girls offer a fresh take on a Wisconsin staple: cheese.
Tina and Katherine act as the owners, drivers and chefs on the food truck, and strive to bring happiness to others with great food and curbside comfort. In celebration of their success, we asked the duo for their best advice for aspiring females and chefs.
“Our best advice to anyone wanting to take the leap into their dream passion is do it! You are stronger, smarter and more talented than you would ever know,” Tina and Katherine said. “Living your talent or dream is never work when you are doing what you love. Be passionate, and be smart. Do your homework, then go for it!”
