Since launching in Atlanta just over three years ago, we’ve been welcomed and continuously inspired by this city. We’ve worked hard to live up to our commitment of celebrating the city we call home by helping to better connect our communities, empowering local entrepreneurs, becoming a part of the cultural landscape, and partnering with local entities to help improve city life.

To show how much we appreciate ATL, last month hundreds of local driver partners and Uber employees teamed up with area non-profits across the metro area to give back to the city we all know and love.

To help senior citizens with limited access to transportation, driver partners volunteered by delivering 50 meals throughout the city. Driver partners and employees who were not out making deliveries were in the kitchen prepping more than 600 meals to be delivered later in the week. Driver partners and Uber employees showed up to provide some much needed work at the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s community garden. More than 4 rows of kale were planted and 3 trenches dug to help prep for the next season of harvesting. Learn how you can volunteer with Atlanta Community Food Bank.

It doesn’t stop here. We’re always looking for ways to leverage our operations and platform to tackle some of the city’s most pressing challenges with innovative solutions that will help Atlanta continue to grow and flourish. It has been an incredible ride so far.
