Transportation to and from medical appointments can be a big inconvenience—if not a major barrier—when it comes to getting effective treatment. Today, we’re taking another step towards reducing the burden on patients, their families, and medical professionals by joining with Trinity Health – New England in a first-of-its-kind partnership in Connecticut.

Together, we’ll educate patients about how to get safe, reliable rides to and from their treatments. We’ve also created designated pickup and drop-off areas at 6 Trinity Health – NE hospitals* to cut down on the distance riders have to walk to meet their drivers and to help them identify exactly where to locate their rides. In addition to helping patients, the partnership will help ensure medical practitioners can get to and from work easily, so no matter what time a shift ends, a safe ride is just a tap away.

With this partnership, we’ve worked closely with the treatment facilities to integrate our technology with theirs. Trinity Health – NE will have ride reminder technology built into their websites, allowing patients to set a text reminder to request an Uber before their appointment. We’ll also be running a pilot program at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford, where Trinity Health – NE administrators will have access to a special UberCENTRAL dashboard, to assist them in ordering rides on behalf of those needing them.

New ridersincluding hospital employees, visitors and patientscan get their first ride free (up to $20) with promo code TRINITYHEALTHNE.
