Note on Updated Delivery Pricing in Sweden
A dynamic pricing structure has been implemented for delivery fares.
This structure seeks to find prices which optimize for both earning opportunities and reliability, ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently, to achieve the overall objective of reducing the amount of orders that remain undelivered.
Starting with a base fare for each delivery, the new pricing structure will consider factors such as the estimated time to successfully complete a delivery, the estimated delivery distance and whether there are multiple pick-up and/or drop-off points.
The new pricing structure also considers historical data for the area, such as how long trips usually take, how far delivery people travel, where the restaurant and customer are located, and the time and day of the trip. It also considers seasonal trends, past restaurant performance, and the value of the order itself.
The new pricing structure also takes into account areas and periods with limited availability of delivery people and higher than usual demand for delivery. Similar deliveries may have different fares at different times of day or week because we may adjust prices to help encourage more couriers to accept certain trips and ensure that customers receive their orders in a timely manner.
Certain deliveries may also include promotions and incentives.
The new pricing structure does not take into account any personal characteristics, or any historical data specific to any individual.
