- Why do I have to accept new T&C?
- We’re changing the way we do business, and we need new terms and conditions which reflect those changes.
First, we are simplifying. Under our old system, you paid a Service Fee to us, and we provided you with leads for restaurants who needed delivery services. You sold these services directly to the restaurant and we issued an invoice on your behalf, this led to a lot of invoices: one for each delivery.
Under our new system, you will be selling your delivery services directly to Uber Eats, instead of to the restaurant. This means you will now perform delivery services for us as our supplier, and we will pay you. You will not contract with restaurants directly. This will simplify your invoices: one customer, one weekly invoice. It also means that the Service Fee will be eliminated. (Due to this change, the way Delivery Fee is calculated will also change.)
Other than that, the way you complete deliveries will not change. You remain free to use the Uber Eats App when and where you want, and you are not bound by any kind of exclusivity with Uber Eats.
Second, we are localizing. Our old terms created a contractual relationship between you and our company in the Netherlands. Our new terms create a contractual relationship between you and a Swedish Uber company, Uber Eats Sweden AB.
- We’re changing the way we do business, and we need new terms and conditions which reflect those changes.
- How will this change affect the delivery experience?
- Operationally speaking, there won’t be any change in how to deliver orders: you will keep receiving orders requests through the Uber app, you will pick up items from merchants and deliver to customers. Tips will still be working as before, and all your metrics showing in app won’t be cancelled or affected in any way, of course.
We will keep making sure to provide you with the best experience to let you earn at your own preferences and timetables – with just less invoices!

- When do I need to accept T&C?
- The change is legally going to happen on the date we communicated to you by email, so acceptance of the T&C is required to keep collaborating with Uber Eats.
- What does it mean that Uber Eats is changing the way it does business?
- Until today, Uber Eats has been acting as a platform that would connect you – a delivery services provider – with restaurants willing to buy those services in order to fulfill their customers’ orders.
You were therefore:- Selling your services to restaurants, in exchange for a per trip delivery fee
- Buying lead generation services from Uber Eats, in exchange of a service fee
- Until today, Uber Eats has been acting as a platform that would connect you – a delivery services provider – with restaurants willing to buy those services in order to fulfill their customers’ orders.
Now, we are simplifying this system: Uber Eats becomes a Swedish company and you will directly sell your delivery services to it.
Therefore:
- You will no longer pay a service fee to Uber Eats.
- You will no longer receive weekly invoices from Uber Eats billing you for the service fee – as you will no longer be buying lead generation services.
- You will no longer see per trip invoices for restaurants generated on your behalf on the Partner Dashboard – you are now an Uber Eats supplier, so we will generate on your behalf a weekly invoice addressed to the Swedish Entity, recapping all your earnings coming from trips and incentives.
- How does this affect my payments?
- The frequency and conditions of your payments will remain the same: you will still be paid out weekly.
The only changes you will notice are:- Your earnings shown in the app always included a service fee that you needed to pay to Uber, which resulted in your actual earnings to be less than shown in the app. As a result of the changes, no service fee has to be paid to Uber anymore and the amount shown in the app will be your actual earnings
- Incentive and bonuses will include taxes that may need to be remitted to the tax authorities. Please make sure that your Partner Profile is up to date.
- The frequency and conditions of your payments will remain the same: you will still be paid out weekly.
We also refer to your monthly Tax Summary where you can find a summary of your delivery fees, incentives and other payments, as well as related VAT (if applicable).
- What happens if I don’t accept the new T&Cs in time?
- These changes must apply to all couriers in your city from the date communicated by email. If you do not have accepted the new T&Csd the day we will make the change, you will no longer be able to do deliveries through the Uber Eats app until you have accepted the new T&Cs.
- When will these changes come into effect?
These changes will happen on the day we communicated to you by email. The email has been sent out in advanc to give you a heads up and to enable you to plan accordingly.
Thank you for being our Partner
